FSU Seminole Pride Nails

Hi Friends!

I'm sharing my Seminole Pride nails with you today!

I attended Florida State University for undergrad and have always been filled with Seminole pride- I wanted to go to FSU since I was in elementary school! I greatly enjoyed my time there and will forever be proud of being a Florida State Seminole.

Yesterday, the Seminoles faced off with our biggest rivals, the University of Florida Gators, on the football field at Doak Campbell Stadium at FSU. Unfortunately, we didn't win this round (we'd won the previous two games, so I guess it's their turn to win ;) ).

Anyway, to show my support, I decided to paint my nails with my school's colors, Garnet and Gold.

To complete this look, I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Wined Up and Bronze Ablaze. Bronze Ablaze is a shimmery olivey-gold, while Wined Up is a rich, shimmery burgundy. I recently found Bronze Ablaze at a discount store for $.99!! I bought Wined Up a few years ago when I was looking for a grown-and-sexy red to wear around the holidays.

I used Bundle Monster stamping plate BM 214 for the feather detailing on my accent nails. The feathers are a nod to the Seminole Tribe of Florida. Here's a close-up of the stamping:

I'm head-over-heels about how the design turned out on my ring finger (Wined up on Bronze Ablaze)! I was surprised about how clear the stamp came out.

Some people aren't crazy about the application wands that the Insta-Dri polishes have (and have not-so-lovingly called it a spatula), but I love it! With a couple of swipes, your whole nail can be polished.

I finished up with a coat of Seche Vite Top Coat.

What do you think, Polishists? Do you ever paint your nails in support of your team?
